In a recent email conversation with a colleague, we were discussing conference calls with faculty meetings and with individual students. Both of us had cooked dinner, cleaned house, and a variety of other tasks while on a conference call. A headset, phone on mute, and it's all good.
I get really aggravated when I'm on a call with other people and you can hear pots and pans rattling, babies screaming, dogs barking, television soaps going, and .... wait for it ..... yep .... toilets flushing.
Don't these people know to put their phones on mute? The person in charge will say "someone needs to mute their line" over and over but it doesn't happen.
Do you have a funny story about conference call uh-oh's?
